Strengthening schools in underserved communities with resources and infrastructure.
Send the Child to Equipped School is AODI's foundational education support programme, designed to strengthen schools in underserved communities so that children can learn in fully resourced, safe, and conducive environments. By providing essential infrastructure, learning materials, and institutional support, the programme ensures that schools are equipped to deliver quality education, creating conditions that enable students to thrive academically and socially. The programme works closely with school administrators and teachers to ensure that resources are effectively integrated into teaching and learning processes.
Partner schools are assessed to identify infrastructure gaps and resource needs for effective learning.
Schools receive essential educational materials including textbooks, learning kits, and classroom supplies.
Basic infrastructure improvements are implemented to create safe and conducive learning environments.
Continuous support and monitoring ensure resources are effectively used to improve learning outcomes.
Schools can be nominated by community leaders, local authorities, or apply directly through our partner networks. We prioritise schools with the greatest need.
We provide textbooks, exercise books, learning kits, classroom furniture, and support for basic infrastructure improvements like repairs and sanitation.
The programme focuses on strengthening schools as institutions. By equipping schools, we indirectly benefit all students who learn there.
We work closely with school leadership and conduct regular monitoring visits to ensure resources are properly integrated into teaching and learning.
